Pakistan’s Cricket Side Found The Most Creatively Dumb Way To Get Run Out

I must have watched this 100 times since it popped up in the dead of the night, and I still cannot make heads or tails of it. It is thoroughly illogical, completely inexplicable, and above all else utterly fucked up dumb. I don’t get it. I don’t understand it. I simply cannot fathom how this came to be.

Australia – or a slapped together bag of rags wearing Australian caps – are currently taking on Pakistan in Dubai in an otherwise nondescript Test Match that’s really only exposing how incredibly wafer-thin Australia’s cricketing depths are at present.

Yet somehow, despite Australia’s repeated failures to play anything close to something resembling actual good cricket, it’s the Pakistanis who have provided the most mind-boggling highlight of the cricketing year.

In the third innings, with Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq chugging along nicely, this happened.

What… the fuck… mates.

What is… how did you… what the…

They just… decided to have a chat? In the middle of the pitch? Because they thought the ball had hit the rope even though they were staring directly at Mitchell Starc while he collected it and whipped it back in with the urgency of a live ball.

That’s not even Under 12-level shit. That’s just… it boggles the mind.

Despite Australia shitting the bed dramatically over the course of the match writ large, that one clip is probably going to be the one thing this test match is remembered for.

Or, at the very least, it’s going to be fuel for bizarrely edited YouTube videos titled like this one entitled “TOP 10 BIZARRE RUN OUTS IN CRICKET HISTORY EVER,” the bulk of which features, would you believe, Pakistani players.

Finding creatively deadshit ways to get run out. It’s a strong Pakistan cricket team tradition.
