Nick Kyrgios Fires Back At Bernard Tomic, Tennis Becomes Interesting

Honestly, the only thing not actually interesting about the world of pro tennis right now is the tennis itself.

With the new class of Australian male players dominated by volatile personalities, it’s inevitable that you’re gonna get some fireworks.
And almost on cue came Bernard Tomic‘s mid-match sledge aimed squarely at fellow-Strayan Nick Kyrgios, over the latter’s non-appearance at Australia’s recent Davis Cup tie against the USA.
Lleyton Hewitt made a quick comeback from retirement to hastily fill-in for Kyrgios, who was apparently ill with a virus. But Tomic was not buying that story for a second.
On-court microphones caught Tomic venting his frustrations during the second set of his match against John Isner.

“Nick’s sitting down in Canberra. Bullshit he’s sick.”

“Two times he done it. Two times he faked it.”

The almighty verbal salvo did not go unnoticed by Kyrgios, who responded late yesterday evening with one of the most backhanded “get rekt, m8“s you’re ever likely to see.

“Heat of the moment.” “Not gonna take it personally.” And then immediately follows it up with “u bitch.”

Who would’ve thought tennis could be so dang spicy?
