Novak Djokovic knocked over Juan Martin del Potro to claim the third US Open men’s singles crown of his career earlier this morning, earning a fairly straightforward straight-sets win 6-3 7-6 6-3. That happened. But it certainly wasn’t the main event inside the arena. That, like everything else she’s tangentially involved with, belonged to Meryl Streep.

Her Royal Streepness graced the public with an appearance inside Arthur Ashe Stadium for the men’s finals, and in typical Meryl fashion, she did not hide her emotions.
Firstly, the Queen acknowledged the public after being caught on camera in the stands, raising a frosty cold one because she’s goddamned Meryl and she can do what she wants.
