“I’ve Always Loved Fashion.” Mark Philippoussis Brings Out A Range Of T-Shirts

Former Wimbledon and US Open tennis star and sometime cougar hunter Mark Philippoussis has made a move into the fashion industry launching his Phlip label. In a career where the only thing faster than his serve was the rate at which he made his way through extremely attractive and stylish women, a career in the fashion industry may not be as silly as it sounds.

As reported in the Daily Telegraph, the Scud is drawing inspiration “every day from all over, from looking at houses to going for a surf“. I wasn’t aware there was such a thing as house hunting wear but I’m certainly not going to doubt the previously bankrupt tennis ace’s nose for the market. “I believe there is a lacking (in the market) and a wanting for that,” he said. Cool. Maybe the Poo can also look at designing some shirts inspired by other weirdly specific yet totally-vague-at-the-same-time everyday scenarios? Maybe a going to the post office range? Or ordering sushi wear? The reminiscing about dating Anna Kournikova line would be a huge hit with teens and former FHM and Ralph employees.

You can check out the Scuds thoughts on fashion where he likens starting a clothing brand to learning to drive a car which he likens to riding a bike. And what do need when your riding a bike? Clothes! It’s cyclical.
