Prince of Penzance has won the 2015 Melbourne Cup, taking out the annual first prize of $6.2 million in ‘the race that stops a nation’.

Jockey Michelle Payne is the first female jockey ever to win the Melbourne Cup.

Max Dynamite placed second and Criterion took out third, edging out front runner Big Orange
So, once again, the nation has been ‘stopped’, horses ran, glass ceilings have been broken, and hopefully some of ya’ll are a bit richer.
