Brett Holman Named Australian Footballer Of The Year

Brett Holman’s emergence as a one of Australia’s key players was cemented last night when he was awarded the Australian Footballer Of The Year. Holman’s increased influence within the national squad has been backed by his ever improving fortunes on the European club circuit after a successful move to the Premier League with Aston Villa after 10 years in the Netherlands.

With the award in it’s the in it’s 4th year, Holman follows on from Mark Schwarzer (2009, 2010) and Matt McKay (2011). For a full list of award winners head over to the Football Australia website.
