How do you resuscitate a brand marred by industrial relations disputes, failed twitter promotions and new lows in consumer confidence? Easy. Put a Miranda Kerr on it.
Today, the airline appointed the noted attention deflector as their new ambassador, adding to Kerr’s existing contracts with David Jones and Victoria’s Secret.
Kerr had this to say of the role: “I grew up with Qantas which is such an iconic Australian brand. I’m proud of my Australian heritage and I’m so excited that I will now be able to represent Australia’s premium airline around the world. I travel frequently and from the moment I step onboard a Qantas flight I feel at home.”
The model joins celebrity Australia doesn’t care about John Travolta and a slew of Australian sports stars including Cathy Freeman, Mark Webber, Greg Norman, Mark Schwarzer and John Eales.
