Bolt took the win in a five-setter, 2-6, 6-4, 4-6, 7(10)-6(8), 6-4, to make it through to the third round.

Not to bloody mention, Bolt saved four (4!) match points in the fourth set to take it to five.

As you can imagine, the Aussie crowd FROTHED him.

And, as Nine noticed, Bolt didn’t even realise he had to do a post-match interview. Whatta champ.

“This is the best thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. To have everyone behind me tonight they really got me over the line. Thank you to everybody for sticking around,” Bolt told Aussie tennis legend Sam Groth.

You can listen to his full post-match interview below.

The 26-year-old celebrated his first-ever Grand Slam tournament back in round one against America’s Jack Sock.

This is Bolt’s third Australian Open.
