The Internet Has Major Heart Eyes For This Tiny Rescue Pup Born With A ‘Moustache’

Moustache Puppy

A rescue puppy born with a moustache-like facial mark has absolutely melted hearts around the world and it’s not hard to see why. Her name is Salvador Dolly, after the Spanish painter with the magnificent stache. SALVADOR DOLLY.

Dolly’s mother and her 10 other siblings were rescued by Hearts & Bones, a volunteer non-profit organisation based in Texas and New York. You might recognise the team from episode 6 of Netflix’s wholesome documentary series Dogs. The crew followed Hearts & Bones around Dallas and captured the special moment they rescued more than 30 dogs.

Dolly, or Moustache Puppy as she’s also known as, and her family are currently in a foster home in Texas. Hearts & Bones said they’ve been flooded with adoption requests but according to the organisation’s Facebook page, Dolly is already really close to finding her forever home.

LOOK AT HER LITTLE FACE.

The rescue has received a lot of love since they shared Dolly with the world and they’ve jumped on the opportunity to call out for potential foster carers. The team were also keen to highlight the importance of foster carers in the adoption process.

“We were only able to save Dolly and her family because we had a foster to take them in – the more people we have ready to open their hearts and homes to a dog in need, the more we can save.”

The organisation has also released t-shirts with Dolly’s adorable face on it, with 100 per cent of proceeds going straight to rescuing and providing much needed medical care for all the doggos.

Late last month, another rescue dog by the name of Lillian went bloody viral… because he’s – there was a miscommunication about his gender at the shelter and the name stuck and “we don’t subscribe to gender norms” – just a little bit awkward looking, in the most beautiful way possible.

You can read more about Lillian and see the most gorgeous photos of him below.
