Would you bloody believe that we’re now under 5 months away from Christmas? It’s ridiculous, isn’t it. We’re still freezing our butts off in the throes of winter, but we’ve gotta start thinking about sweating our way through a roast lunch real, real soon.
And sooner than that, the season of office Christmas parties will be upon us, in all their drunken, scandalous glory. That magnificent time of year where people try desperately, and mostly fail, to not drink too much in front of colleagues and bosses, and where things can slide off a cliff into grievance-airing territory. It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
In that grand tradition, we have the first trailer for the upcoming comedy flick ‘Office Christmas Party,’ which is goods exactly as advertised: A giant, fuck-off, debaucherous office party is thrown for a business on the brink of shutting down.
Where it gets really good is when you look at the cast, because it’s full to the brim of all your favourite comedic talent. The film stars TJ Miller, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Olivia Munn, Matt Walsh, Rob Corddry, Randall Park, Courtney B. Vance, and Vanessa Bayer, among many others.
The trailer? Hell, it looks surprisingly batshit insane. Colour us cautiously keen.
The film is directed by ‘Blades of Glory‘ makers Josh Gordon & Will Speck and produced by ‘Game of Thrones‘ co-executive producer Guymon Casady along with business partner Daniel Rappaport and Scott Stuber.
It’s scheduled to hit cinemas in the US on December 9th. No word on a local release date at this stage.
