A 7 News press conference in the suburb of Wulguru in Townsville, Queensland about two stabbings overnight was interrupted by a man who had discovered the body of his 80 year old neighbour.
It’s kinda intense:
Police had been investigating the attempted murder of a 26-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man when the body was discovered.
A 32-year-old man who was arrested overnight in connection with the original investigation remains in police custody.
Police had received around 15 calls about a man who was damaging fences and cars in the street. He was subdued with a Taser and brought into custody.
Info is sparse and there’s currently no explicit connection between the two investigations. It is not known whether the same perpetrator was involved.
