You guys definitely had a chord struck with the regular ole’ green band Sleeping With Other People trailer – the new film in which Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie go to extraordinary lengths to not bump uglies with one another.
Now, with the release of the Red Band trailer – i.e. the sweary, sexy, definitely NSFW trailer – you get a much clearly picture of what the film is actually like.
Starring Sudeikis and Brie along with Adam Scott, Jason Mantzoukas, Natasha Lyonee, Adam Brody, and Amanda Peet, the film follows a pair of fuck-ups in their late 20s who have intimacy and commitment issues. They forge a friendship based entirely on the fact that they make a pact to not bang each other, but then FEELINGS, etc.
Those of you in and around the Melbourne area last week might have been able to catch it screening at the Melbourne International Film Festival. But for those who weren’t so lucky, you may or may not be pleased to know that what the film lacks in certain story structure elements, it more than makes up for by packing in as many laughs as humanly possible. The banter between Jason Mantzoukas and Andrea Savage alone is definitely worth the watch.
So if weird safe words, sexy banter, and dropping dingbats at kids birthday parties sounds like your kinda thing, then mark this one down in your calendars.
