It’s not every day that you see a full-size female gorilla cuddling up to a litter of kittens, but here we are.
To celebrate her 44th birthday back in July, staff at the Gorilla Foundation in Redwood City, California, surprised Koko with a whole box of the furry little cuties – her favourite animal.
After inspecting them all with much love and care, she scoops up Ms Gray – yep, the grey one – and promptly falls in <3 with her.
Now she’s the adoptive Mum of not only Ms Gray, but another kitten too.
