Vegemite Renames Itself Australia

After FAILed attempts to associate a breakfast spread with Apple products (you crazy for that one Kraft), Vegemite will again rebrand itself, this time to celebrate Australia Day.

Thanks to the Harvard professors chained up in their underground marketing think tank, the rebrand comes with a new jar featuring a map of Australia in place of their iconic red diamond logo. That means “Australia” is now a table spread, country, Shins song and proven Baz Luhrmann sleeping aid. Disambiguate that Wikipedia.

Vegemite marketing director Jenny Nolch explains: “Changing Vegemite’s name to Australia for a limited time in the lead up to Australia Day is our way of showing some contemporary Australian pride. It’s about having a bit of fun and celebrating the irreverence of the Australian culture.”

Anyway, don’t worry guys, it’s for a limited time only.
