When it comes to her glossy pet project LOVE Magazine, Katie Grand loves to create the sort of slowbuild anticipation usually reserved for first kisses in Molly Ringwald movies. The latest spate of slow-release LOVE covers for the all-important September Issue features four gorgeous women (Gisele, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lauren Hutton) styled as archetypal babes: “The Bombshell”, “The Angel”, “The Siren” and “The Heroine.” Photography super duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were at the helm of the shoot, and with four more covers to go before the issue hits newsstands we’re busy guessing what they’re going to be. Showgirl? Mod? Dominatrix?
