Every day we get to witness the amazing work done by talented young filmmakers in this country – whether that’s through new music video clips or short films and, without a doubt, one of the best ways to get a leg up in the super competitive film and television industry is via Tropfest: the world’s largest short film festival. It’s back again this year for the 19th annual event and entries are now officially open.
Whether you are a novice or have a few films under your belt, Tropfest is open to anyone who is eager to tell a story through film. All you have to do is grab a camera, a few mates and start shooting your short film that is no longer than seven minutes. And, in the grand Tropfest traditional, your film must contain this year’s signature item: KEY.
