Tony Abbott Brings Leadership Vote Forward To Monday

Tony Abbott is either feeling supremely confident that he’ll win the coming challenge to his leadership, or he wants the whole thing over and done with – either way, he has moved a vote on his leadership forward to Monday.

The Guardian report that Abbott has brought forward the vote to 9am Monday, shortly after Malcolm Turnbull stressed the importance of keeping it on Tuesday. Burn on Malcolm? Who even knows at this point?
Bowing to great pressure, Abbott has said that it’s “important to end the uncertainty at the very beginning of the parliamentary sitting week”, and that the normal party room meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, will go ahead as planned.
We’ll follow this story as it develops.
