Tom Anderson – known commonly as Tom from Myspace, the guy behind the most iconic avatar in social media history, and the internet’s collective first friend on Myspace before it became an unusable HTML glitter bomb populated by shitty party flyers and fake Macy’s gift card vouchers – is currently in Sydney somewhere.
Eschewing the social network he helped develop, because, you know, if you post a status update to Myspace and no one is there to read it does it actually make a sound?…Anderson announced his trip via Facebook saying “Hello Australia, I’m on the road again and
landing in Sydney tomorrow! Very excited to go on a road trip and take
photos!”
