TIME Just Dropped Its Most Influential List 2016 & It’s Top-To-Bottom Gr8

In theory, the annual TIME Most Influential List is basically just a hundred humans being big-talked by their mates. In practice, it’s a solid run-down of people who are getting shit done – it just so happens their mates are probs champions as well.

Seriously. Cop this description of Adele, as written by Jennifer Lawrence:

“But what you don’t see is what a wonderful mother she is. What a wonderful partner and friend she is. That she makes her son’s Halloween costumes.

Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she’s also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful. Bitch.”

As for sports, here’s the inevitable piece on the phenom that is Steph Curry, as told by fellow one-in-a-million performer Misty Copeland:
“I’m in awe every time I see Stephen Curry play. He combines a never-before-seen skill set with the panache and flair of a great performance artist…

Lucky for us, he’s just getting started.”

Howsabouts a blow-by-blow of Aziz Ansari, by Broad City themselves, Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer? Or, praise for Kendrick Lamar from Black Lives Matter’s Alicia Garza?

Politics, understandably, is well-represented. Trump. Sanders. Clinton. Merkel. Trudeau. Obama. Putin.

Even Kim Jong Un gets the nod, as North Korea expert writes “for the few who resist, the Great Leader’s gulag is still going strong… With Google Earth, the camps are visible on your phone.”

Then, of course, making the cover of the print editions: Leonardo DiCaprio by John Kerry; Priscilla Chan & Mark Zuckerberg by Bill & Melinda Gates; and Nicki Minaj, by Lil’ Wayne.
On Leo, Kerry says “when I invited him to join the State Department’s first global Our Ocean conference, aimed at building collaboration to protect one of our most critical resources, Leo didn’t just show up—he put up millions of dollars for ocean protection as part of the effort.”

The Gates praise the public faces of Facebook for “committing 99% of their wealth to taking on challenges like improving education, curing disease, connecting people and building strong communities.

Changing the world once was not enough for them. We can’t wait to see what they’ll do in the decades to come.”

And oh, Nicki gets her props thusly:
“She’s an icon, a boss and a role model to all these young girls out here on how to do it the right way. Her work ethic speaks volumes and has yielded these results.

The scary thing is she’s still going.”
The list is littered with top-notch humans in science, activism, technology, religion and art, and you’d do damn well to have a gander at all their excellence riiiight heeere.
