Thomas Markle Gives Tell-All Interview Claiming That Prince Harry Secretly Likes Trump

Exactly one month after the royal wedding, Meghan Markle‘s father Thomas has given his first tell-all interview to Good Morning Britain and spilled some tasty but unexpected tea in the process.

The 73-year-old spoke about a phone call that took place between him and his new son-in-law, Prince Harry, whom he has never met face-to-face.

The double Emmy award-winning former Lighting Director alleges that during the phone call, the Prince expressed his support for controversial US president-elect Donald Trump:

“He said ‘give Donald Trump a chance’. I sort of disagreed with that, I still like Harry, that was his politics, I have my politics.”

When asked if he thought Prince Harry was a “Trump supporter”, Markle said: “I would hope not now but at the time he might have been”.

This wasn’t the only bombshell that Markle unleashed. He also described Prince Harry’s view on Brexit as being “an experiment” that “we have to try.”

Markle’s allegations put the royal fam in quite the awkward position as they’re known to stay neutral on political matters.

The father of the Duchess of Sussex was propelled into the global spotlight after staging paparazzi photos before the royal wedding, an incident he described as a mistake.

“They were very forgiving, both Harry and Meghan were very forgiving about it. Meghan said ‘everything is ready for you’. Harry said ‘I’ve got one of my military friends to look after you’. Everything was booked.”

Markle also recalled the first time Meghan told him that she was dating the handsome royal.

“The first phone calls were, ‘Daddy, I have a new boyfriend,’ and I said, ‘That’s really nice.’ And then the next call was like, ‘He’s British,’ and I said, ‘That’s really nice.’ Eventually the third time around was like, ‘He’s a prince.’ At that point, she said, ‘It’s Harry,’ and I said, ‘Oh, Harry, O.K.”

He went on to say that he was “jealous” but “honoured” that Prince Charles was able to walk his daughter down the aisle in his stead.

“I wish I was there, I wish it had been me,” he said. “I cried about it and I regretted it because I really wanted to walk my daughter down the aisle.”

“The unfortunate thing is I am now a footnote in one of the greatest moments in history rather than the Dad walking her down the aisle.”
