‘The Force Awakens’ Stars Back Campaign For Terminally Ill Fan To See Film Early

Stars from the new Star Wars film, Mark Hamill and John Boyega, have backed a campaign to allow a terminally ill fan to see ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ before he passes away.
Yup. Say it with us, bottom lip a-quiverin’: DAWWWWWW.
The man in question, Daniel Fleetwood, has spindle cell carcenoma, which is a rare, terminal connective tissue cancer, and doesn’t believe he will be here for the December 18 release date. He said to Houston’s KPRC-TV,
“Judging by how progressive the disease has gotten in the past two months I really don’t think that I’ll be able to make it.”
But, Luke Skywalker & ex-Stormtrooper Finn to the rescue. People had already started using the hashtag #ForceForDaniel to gain attention from Walt Disney Studios, in hope that Daniel could see the latest instalment of the franchise he loves so dearly before his passing.
Mark Hamill and John Boyega retweeted this tweet, supporting the campaign. Peter Mayhew, the actor behind Chewbacca, also retweeted a similar tweet:

The GoFundMe page (for Fleetwood’s medical bills) and hashtag were set up by Daniel’s wife Ashley, who tweeted this about her husband:

Oh lordy, our emotions. OUR EMOTIONS.
