Sydney Burger Gods Bar Luca Create Insane Big Mac To Honour Inventor

In case you haven’t heard, the inventor of the Big Mac (and less famously, the McMuffin), Michael “Jim” Delligatti passed away earlier today at the ripe old age of 98.

The fruits of his labour are immeasurable. As one of the first franchisees of the Golden Arches, his creativity in the kitchen literally changed drinking culture forever. Who among us hasn’t stuffed a Big Mac down their gob at 2am? Who hasn’t sought the elusive hangover cure in the crunch of a toasty Egg McMuffin? We owe Jim so much.

To honour Jim’s legacy, cult Sydney burger joint Bar Luca is putting on their version of the Big Mac – the Mac Daddy – for one night only.

Just like the OG, this mouthwatering creation you see before you is made of two all-beef patties, special sauce lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions.

The difference between Maccas’ burger and Bar Luca’s burger? The former comes on a sesame seed bun, and the latter a milk, because a burger is still a burger and standards will not be dropped.

Also, about $15 (the Mad Daddy is $20).

But like, tbqh with you:
