One time when I was 21 I flinched when shaving my sideburns and took a real big chunk of my beautiful rich hair off the side of my head.
The incredible, luscious hair that I had took years to grow, and now I had a portion of it missing, which made me look like I had recently received a lobotomy – in the sense that it looked like they shaved it for surgery and also it looked like the sort of haircut only someone with a part of their brain missing would have.
My point is: growing hair is a lot of work and incredibly difficult to fix if it gets fucked up. I had to shave my head after that incident and I spent a good year and a half looking like a testicle because growing it out looked even worse than having it short.
So imagine some weird ass motherfucker takes a pair of scissors to your hair on the bus: you’re sitting there, minding your own business, trying to get somewhere on the worst form of public transport imaginable when King Creepazoid himself silently chops off some of your locks.
Well that’s what happened to one Sydney woman a month ago, when she was catching the 339 into the city. Witnesses described a “creepy” and “freaky” couple sitting behind her, the dude of which, for some fucking obscenely weird reason, cut 3 to 4 inches of hair off of her.
She confronted the man and the bus driver called the cops, but he left the bus and caught a taxi. Police later identified the man from CCTV footage and chased him down in Maroubra.
There’s no mention about what happened to the woman in the couple but if they were in on this together that is one extremely messed up relationship.
The 19-year-old man is being charged with assault in addition to other outstanding warrants he had.
