Street Style In Sydney: Hair Meet Wardrobe

TONI&GUY =”http:>’Hair Meet Wardrobe’ and Pedestrian have teamed up for a series dedicated to showcasing the synergy between fashion and follicles that, when combined, makes for killer style. The short of it is “here are some babes we are digging on, get a load of their great hair and great fashion!” Last month we hit Splendour In The Grass to examine how all the girls are putting it all together to fit into four categories where hair and wardrobe collide: Classic, Glamour, Creative and Casual.

CLASSIC
Channeling Jane Birkin vibes with a modern twist, this charming cat has nailed the classically cool trifecta of tapered jeans, striped tee and ankle boots. The shiny blunt fringe and rad shades are icing on the cake. Get the same super smooth frizz-free look with help from a little Shine Gloss Serum.

The elongated bob is back and it’s never looked better than on this sultry platinum blonde in timeless understated black.

GLAMOUR
Pin-up style is a perennial favourite with us here at Pedestrian and this gorgeous ambassador exemplifies all the things that make it so fine. The demure cardigan knit contrasted with the peek of cleavage and lace lingerie, mid-heel Mary-Janes, and her hair done in a vintage back roll with head scarf is a recipe for perfect retro glam. Keep pin curls, finger waves and glory rolls soft, sleek and secure with a few Serum Drops.

CREATIVE

Big hair is beautiful. Case in point: this gal with her massive copper-tipped mane accessorised with an oversized magenta bow. The pink worn in her hair complements the vibrant Yellow Submarine-ish print of her dress which she pairs with studded black flats and detailed lace pantyhose. You can tell this girl’s got a style all of her own, pulled together into one cohesive, expressive look.

Oh hey panda girl. Yep, that’s the good ol’ World Wildlife Fun logo she’s repping. She layers up with a tartan flannel vest – a hat tip to grunge – a velvet mini skirt and those great boots. It’s the grab the first clothes I see and magically look adorable in them trick. Cascading ash blonde waves and a razor-shorn purple fringe top off this laidback, original take on hair-and-fashion styling. You can use this to achieve the same kind of textured control in long waves.

CASUAL
If I could turn up to work in torn jeans, a comfy ass slouchy tee, Converse sneaks and jerry curls akimbo, I’d be a jolly person too. Get a post-beach look for your natural curls with a little assistance from this sweet gear.

This babe is sporting the ultimate combo for laidback cool: Leather, denim and white t-shirt. The likes of James Dean, Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen invented the recipe and we’ve been lapping it up ever since. She styles it with shiny lengths of chestnut hair in a relaxed centre part, a look you can achieve with Smoothing Lotion.
