‘Straya, Here’s Where To Party On The ~SpOoKiEsT~ Weekend Of The Year

In all honesty, us Aussies are still getting used to Halloween. We’re adapting to it. And we are adapting the only way we know how.
Trick or treating? Pumpkin-carving? Nah, we wanna get dressed up and get boozed as sin, ya’ll.
In light of this, PEDESTRIAN.TV wanted to get together a little roundup of some of the excellent shit thats going on, on this ~SpOoKy~ weekend.
Hit these up, fam:

SYDNEY

Goodgod Small Club never disappoints, and we’ve gotta get the Goods while the Godly hall of partying is still alive and kickin’. The dress code is ‘FREAKS & CLOWNS’ so we’d highly recommend if you’re a fan of American Horror Story: Freak Show, and avoid if you have a irrational fear of clowns.
El Topo is another ol’ faithful, and their hosting their annual Halloween Ball. There’s option: If you’re in the mood to dine, there’s a package that includes spooky dining with Bondi Harvest, then drinking your body weight in delish cocktails. But, if you’re just in the mood for party, get them boozetails into ya belly in the El Topo Basement.
Frankie’s are of course offering a Halloween extravaganza; there’s hella booze, excellent bands, and 25 ‘horrifically titled’ kinda of pizza on the menu. The party vibes are real.
MELBOURNE
There’s a seriously amazing party smack bang in the middle of Melbourne’s CBD to celebrate Dios De Las Muertos, or ‘Day of the Dead’. They’re advertising ‘interactive art installations and light projections; murals created by renowned street artists; an authentic Mexican altar installation; top Australian body artists; and an exclusive lineup of local and international DJs and musicians.’ Mental.

Lazerpig do good partyin’, and they’ve stepped up the ante this Halloween with ‘The Haunted Attic Disco Exorcism’. They’re opening up the attic to patrons, where there will be two separate mini parties going, too. Drank specials and DJ’s all night, obvi. Dress up encouraged.
Rupert & karaoke legends Burn in Time are throwing the party we all dream of: Hip Hop Halloween. Sip on gin & juice and dance your ass off to hip hop all night; entry is free and there’s free booze if you rock up early. AND there’s a bonus prize if you and ya crew rock up dressed as the Wu.
ADELAIDE
Rocket Bar + Rooftop are an iconic, long-time supporter of the true essence of partying, and Halloween’s no exception. They’ve got the usual Punk Ass Kids jam going, but more spine-chilling; you can spend your Halloween listening to punk bands, drinking cheap drinks, and getting prizes for having the dopest costume. Plus, the first 100 people even get free ‘blood shots’ on entry, fuck yeah.

Rhino Room know how to party, and for a special creepster ~NIGHT CALL~ they’re advertising ‘the usual pop/rnb/hiphop/trash + spooky tunes n bangers’, plus TBA drink/potion specials and cheaper entry if you dress up.
PERTH
This one might be pretty obvious to Perthites: Metric Halloween. There’s a killer lineup, including Woolly Mammoth from the U.S., and there’s also the opportunity to win a Wonderland ticket if you’re chosen as best dressed, so you’d get to steppin’ and get that costume on your body.
Sweat? Scary shit? 100% SOLD. Sweat It Out are handling the party at Villa Nightclub, and they’ll be bringing Yolanda Be Cool, Cassian, and Jai Wolf. Costumes are highly encouraged, so head here to dance your ass off while covered in fake blood.
BRISSY

FUCK YEAH, Frightside Horrorfest! They’re advertising a special Halloween menu including ‘black burgers’, DJ’s, a spookily decorated haven, go-go girls and burlesque dancers, bar specials, and wait for it: a My Chemical Romance cover band. LEGIT.

Just like everyone else, Buffalo Bar are huge fans of American Horror Story (obvs, because it’s amazing). So, we’d recco heading there if you’re keen for the following: ~ free entry ~ boozy tunes ~ spooky food ~ live music ~, and finally dress up as your faaave AHS character and win prizes. Dope.

We can’t attend everything ya’ll; we are but one pop culture website! Let us know if we missed the Halloween ~party of the century~, though. We physically can’t say no to a party. Ever.
