‘Star Wars’ Midnight Premiere In Sydney Got Called Off Due To Storm Damage

If you live in Sydney, you might have noticed a teeny weeny lil’ sprinkling of rain today.

LOL JKS, it was actually a tornado, and it royally fucked up a lot of shit. Houses were severely damaged, the roads were chaos, and the Westfield Shopping Centre in Bondi Junction’s roof caved in from the tumultuous wind.
But now, the tornado has gone one step further. It has angered the scariest people in the world… passionate Star Wars fans.
Due to the damage to the roof of the Westfield, the midnight premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ has been cancelled.

Honestly… super glad not to be in the presence of any SW mega-fan who is currently being emailed by Event Cinemas customer service, informing them that their session (that they no doubt booked months ago) has been cancelled.
Star Wars fans are the most passionate and organised out of any of the fandoms; don’t get in the way of them finding out how Han Solo & Chewbacca are doing 30 years on! Hooooooooo boy.
