‘Ship Your Enemies Glitter’ Creator Caves Under Sparkly Pressure: Auction Price Soars As Site Is Put Up For Sale

The glorious site started by a 22-year-old Australian entrepreneur with an evil genius streak, shipyourenemiesglitter.com, has become the definition of ‘that escalated quickly’, as the site which facilitates your desire to bring a sparkly plague on thine enemies’ houses is up for sale.

Shipyourenemiesglitter.com became viral on Tuesday, after news outlets around the world caught on to the brilliant niche market of hacking away at those you hate, one fleck of stupid fucking glitter at a time.

On Wednesday, plot twist, things started to smell awfully like Flappy Bird on creator Mathew Carpenter’s twitter:

What a clever, sadistic mastermind.

Speaking to Carpenter today, he told us that the site’s origin story is recent as hell: “My New Years resolution was to work on more side projects & this was my first thought.” Landing on a certified winner, however, isn’t easy when you go viral. Orders have been blocked on the site following a huge onslaught of revenge-seekers’ purchases – meanwhile, Carpenter posted the business to the startup auction site, Flippa, with a ballsy starting price of $1.

Carpenter says that he “didn’t expect a small site like this would gain so much traction”, and that the worst thing about the whole debacle has been “the realisation I came to when I figured out that I’d have to be packing and shipping thousands of envelopes.” Evil comes at a price.

The site is currently under a bidding war, with 329 bids submitted so far – the site’s price tag is currently up to a staggering $61,100. Can you even imagine how much fucking glitter that would buy?

Selling up big or not, you know you’ve done good when you get a shoutout on Fallon. You’re doing Australia proud, Mat. :’)
