Following on from today’s earlier revelations regarding now-former Senator Nova Peris and a series of shockingly racist posts made on her social media channels, we have this development for which you are going to have to sit down to read, such is its shocking nature.
Reports have emerged this afternoon stating that a 64-year old Woy Woy man has indeed been charged by police over the (now we have to call them) “alleged” posts. The charges are likely to fall under the “menacing, harassing, or offensive use of the internet or mobile” arm of anti-cyber bullying laws. Which are real things designed to deal with precisely this kind of bullshit.

In a press release issued this afternoon, NSW Police confirmed they arrested the man at about 1pm this afternoon, after attending a business in Woy Woy. He was taken to the Gosford Police Station where he was subsequently charged with using a carriage service to cause offence.
He was granted conditional bail, and will now face court again on June 21st.
Earlier, the chiropractor-in-question was the subject of a Daily Telegraph “exclusive,” in which he repeatedly proclaimed his complete and utter innocence, blaming the posts – which came from his Facebook profile – on a highly sophisticated effort by South Korean hackers. Yep.
“I was clearly hacked. I’m the victim of a really horrible and extremely vicious hacking.”
“I’m definitely not a racist. I’ve got friends who are Aboriginal and family who are Aboriginal.”
“About three weeks ago I got a notification from Facebook about someone from South Korea trying to hack my account.”
“Hackers are just a pain in the arse; the same as people who send out computer viruses. They just try to create mayhem and they succeed.”
