QLD Gronks Rob Servo, Use Getaway Car Painted W/ “Merry Christmas” Message

Two masked men have robbed a servo AND given local cops the finger with an… unusually marked car in Glenwood, a South East Queensland town north of Gympie
CCTV footage, taken early Wednesday afternoon, shows a dark blue sedan spray painted with the words ‘cop hunter’, ‘crime does pay’ and ‘Merry Christmas’ erratically pull into the servo’s driveway.
A guy in a balaclava and those $2 check-patterned pluggers leaps from the car, brandishing a machete. Inside, he proceeds to push some customers around (one of whom loses his own plugger – it sits forlornly in the middle of the floor for the rest of the footage).
The video then shows the guy chop an electrical cable in half for emphasis, sending a computer mouse flying, before making off with both tills’ worth of cash and a cold drink from the fridge.
According to the shaken-up owners, the getaway driver was wearing a long-sleeved high-vis shirt and a yellow motorcycle helmet. Despite the eye-catching choice of vehicular décor, the man with the machete had taken great pains to preserve his anonymity, covering identifying tattoos with black tape.
Anonymous men making loud, day-ruining nuisances of themselves? The shitty bits of the internet have come to life in South East Queensland, and we are all the poorer for it.
The cops are still on the lookout for the two blokes and their horrible car, so if you see them, police are asking you to keep your distance and call 000. If you have any extra info, contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
