PSA: Instagram Gets With The Times, Finally Introduces Account Switching

You hear that? That’s the sound of a nation of bloggers and social media managers breathing huge sighs of relief.

In what in all honesty should’ve been one of those “included from day one” updates, Instagram has announced that from this week, you’ll be able to switch between different IG accounts within the app. Without having to log out and log back in every damned time.
The feature now mirrors the one included by Twitter on their official app, and at long last recognises the fact that people may need to have quick and easy access to more than one Instagram account at any given time.
Instagram announced the introduction of Account Switching today in a blog post, stating you’ll be able to switch between accounts by tapping your username on your profile page.

“Starting this week, you can quickly and easily switch between multiple accounts on Instagram!”

“Go to your profile settings to add an additional account. From there, tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts. Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment.”

The feature will be available in Instagram version 7.15 on both iOS and Android.

About fkn time, TBH.
