Police Say Six People Overdosed At A Club In Darling Harbour Overnight

A nightclub in Darling Harbour was forced to close its doors last night, clearing patrons onto the street, after a reported six people suffered overdoses at the venue. 
NSW Police say that officers from Sydney Local Area Command attended the unnamed premises at around 1.30am following a number of reports of people requiring medical treatment. 
Per a police statement to the media: 
“On arrival, officers located six people, two men and four women, all in their 20s, being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for suspected drug overdoses …  All six were transported by ambulances to St Vincent’s Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

Inquiries into the incident continue.”

The venue’s operators decided to close for the night to help emergency services cope with the response. 
It is unknown what substance or substances the overdose victims might have taken, but all are expected to recover, and police hope to speak with them to find out more information.
