25-Year-Old Man In Critical Condition Following Darling Harbour Assault

A 25-year old man is in hospital with critical head injuries following an assault in Sydney’s Darling Harbour overnight.
NSW Police say that the man was walking with a group of friends near Cockle Bay Wharf when they became involved in a verbal altercation with a group of three men walking past them at about 1am.
One of the three punched the 25-year-old “a number of times” before he fell to the ground and hit his head on the brick pavement. Paramedics were called, and the man remains in St Vincent’s hospital in an induced coma.
The men are still at large, and police reports indicate that after the assault, they fled “through Town Square towards Wheat Street where they were last seen entering a grey or blue-coloured sedan.”
The first man has been described as “Caucasian in appearance, about 180-185 cm tall with black curly hair.”  The second man is described as having “blonde/sandy coloured hair”, and there is no available description of the third.
Police are urging anybody with information regarding the assault to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or contact the Day Street Police Station on 02 9265 6499.
