More Police Than Protestors At Tonight’s Anti-Muslim Rally in Parramatta

We’ll be honest – we were on high alert tonight, nervously watching and waiting for the news of something horrendous happening at the anti-Muslim rally in Parramatta.

Thankfully, the best case scenario has happened. Not only were there no deaths, no injuries, and no violence at the protest – there was also next to no attendees.

According to Twitter and ABC, approximately 20 people attended to express their ~~racism~~ ~~bigotry~~ displeasure with an entire religion. They urged Parramatta Mosque to reject terrorism (which Muslim leader Neil El-Kadomi did earlier in the week, telling worshippers of extremist action, “if you don’t like Australia, leave”), and to reject Sharia Law (which does not exist in Australia).

According to witnesses, there was actually more press and police than protestors.

Plus, organiser of the anti-Muslim rally Nick Folkes attended extremely late to his own failed protest due to being ‘stuck in traffic’.

There was also an anti-racism group of about 50 people countering the protest.
