Hi there. You know, we’ve had a lot of fun this year. We’ve seen some classic moments. Who could forget that one time? Or the great Reply All incident of March? Or when Jonno lost his keys? Great stuff. Great, great stuff.
But now as we approach the end of the 2016, we can all take the time to pause and reflect on the year that was, and what the true meaning of the season is. Or, as the wise and great philosopher Whatsisname once said, “A bird in the hand is worth about $38, dependant on market fluctuations at the time.” As true today as it was when it was written.
So while we’ve been toiling away in the spicy content mines churning out material of decent-to-above decent quality, and while all of you have been whittling away the working year in our comment sections (We read all the comments you guys write, by the by. All of them.) we’d like to take a moment to wish you all a very, very, very happy Christmas.
Enjoy the day, wherever you are, with your family, your friends, and your near and dear.
Have a drink!
Eat way too much food!
Revel in the mayhem of the exchange of gifts!
Respectfully observe whatever religious or non-religious system of beliefs you hold near and dear!
Maybe think about not getting into a biff with Uncle Frank, even though he really did just refuse to eat the turkey unless your Mum can prove it’s not Halal!
Then at the end of the day, take yourself a goddamned nap! A sweet, glorious, full-of-food-and-booze nap!
