A portrait of Melbourne this morning, as Victorian weather has officially lost the plot, clocking in the coldest morning the city has seen in eighteen years:

Temperatures in Victoria reportedly hit below zero this morning, with temperatures in Melbourne’s CBD reaching to just 0.6 degrees celsius before 8AM, according to the ABC. The mercury/lack thereof rivals temperatures recorded in 1997, where the city reached just 0.3 degrees one winter morning.
While Victorians might not be suffering under quite the same regime as Queenslanders were this week, heavy frost this morning amounted to virtually the same conditions.

Around the State this morning, temperatures dropped to as low as -5.4 motherfucking degrees with Ballarat being one of the coldest regions in the State.
The rest of the week doesn’t look much better for Victoria. Today, temperatures will struggle to push past 13; with a similar outlook following for the rest of the week.
Melbourne, get the fuck back into bed. Don’t leave the house. Make some food, hug your dog, and stay there.
