Supermarket chain Aldi has had yet another delivery of bananas to 14 different stores in Germany, only for staff to open those delicious potassium-rich boxes and find many, many, many kilograms of cocaine inside.
Weirdly, this has happened once before, also at Aldi in Berlin. Aldi seem totally confused about these deliveries of bananas/dirty dancing/pounding techno music, as do police conducting the investigation:
“Apparently there was a logistical mistake somewhere along the line,” said police spokeman Stefan Redlich, and added that investigators that were now trying to figure out the actual intended destination. The shipment from Colombia contained 386kg of cocaine – the biggest amount in Berlin’s history.
Who the hell keeps accidentally sending Aldi cocai-nanas? Someone who wants to make Germany’s bodies sing, clearly.
