Cocaine Delivered To Supermarket Racks In Banana Boxes

In a hilarious misunderstanding for international drug dealers trying to smuggle 140kg of cocaine into Berlin, boxes of ‘produce’ covered in a thin layer of bananas, were accidentally sent to supermarkets in Berlin.

Oops!

Returned are the days when coke could be found in fun, over-the-counter products such as Coca Cola, throat lozenges and bananas. “We were of course surprised,” said senior police officer Olaf Schremm, who had just had his job done for him. He went on to say that they weren’t yet sure of “where the mistake was in the perpetrators’ delivery chain.”

Someone is going to wake up pretty red-faced/beheaded this morning, with the estimated black market value of the coke being placed somewhere in the €6 million ($9.1 million) region. So, in terms of a per kilo price, that places it about on par with bananas during the Great Australian Banana Shortage of ’06. According to reports, the cocaine will be bumped into storage and ‘eventually destroyed’ by law enforcement officers‘ nasal cavities.
