LOVE IS A LIE: ‘Bachie’ Faves Megan & Tiff Have Officially Broken Up

The world is garbage and love is a lie. Nothing lasts and whatever happiness you find in this world is absolutely, most certainly doomed. The world returns to misery, always.

Confirming our suspicions that nothing will be good again, least of all for us, the fans, ex-‘Bachelor’ stars Tiffany Scanlon and Megan Marx have confirmed they have split. 

And while the relationships of strangers do not actually impact our day-to-day lives, and is arguably none of our damn business, we can’t help but feel gutted by this news considering what a kickass couple the two have been since leaving old Whats-His-Face on last year’s Bachelor and going on, amongst other things, to become Maxim’s Couple Of The Year 2016.

But because all good things come to an end, Megan replied to a fan’s question on her latest Instagram post saying “Tiffany and I have broken up”.

Current status: Figurative and literal high place phenomenon? Eternal mental and physical cognitive dissonance? Or just a bit of fkn fun? Photographed by @katren_sudek

And sure, there were signs.

The couple, who were known for posting gorgeous Instagram pics together while also being kickass LGBTI advocates, had taken to throwing up singular, vague pics of themselves for a while now.

Sometimes you have to get above it all before you can see things more clearly, you have to crawl through the mud, hike up the mountain and then, once you catch your breath, you can truly appreciate from where you have come and see the possibilities of the beyond. Without the lows, there cannot be highs; Without challenge, there cannot be growth. In the midst of the struggle sometimes its hard to believe you will ever reach the top, but inch by inch, you always do.

We never remark on any passion or principle in others that we do not in some degree or another find a parallel in ourselves. Maybe parts differ in shape or size but the structure is much the same… Okay maybe that’s a load of bullshit- I remember reading this from David Hume’s works when I was like sixteen ?? So I guess all we can do is move on, and find a way to love again. The fans, I mean. I ams sure Megan and Tiffany will be OK.

But the only possible silver-lining to all this is if Bachelor Australia pulls its head out and finally gives us an LGBTIQ series. Or two. 

Give them both another shot at true love, please and thank you Channel Ten.
