Well this is just wonderful. On last night’s public political shitfight known as the ABC‘s flagship Q&A, held live from Rockhampton and centred on issues pertaining to mental health.
When the question was posed to notoriously outspoken independent MP – and winner of “Politician who most resembles the Texan Oil Baron from The Simpsons” ten years running – Bob Katter about his comments pertaining to homosexual people and the subsequent damage to mental health they may have caused, comedian Josh Thomas fired up in glorious fashion.
Remember, Katter once famously stated of the LGBQTI community and its high instance of suicide that he was “unaware” of any people of “that persuasion” within his electorate.
Not only did Katter not look Thomas in the eye whilst he was being spoken to, but he barely even looked in his general direction – save for once following a quick punchline about Thomas putting Grindr on Katter’s phone.
Whether you like Josh Thomas or not – at the best of times he can be somewhat of a divisive individual – he absolutely nailed his response.
