We posted earlier in the week about ‘Axis of Awesome‘ comedian Jordan Rasko, who came out as transgender in a super heartwarming and excellent video.
Tonight, Jordan appeared on The Project to talk about her transition, and how the reactions have been to her video. (They’ve mostly been super positive apparently

)However, Jordan also spoke a really interesting point that many may not have considered about coming out as transgender. Jordan is happily married to her wife – but now has to get divorced before she can change her gender on her Aussie birth certificate, because two women cannot legally be married in Australia.
Absolutely dumbfounding, right?
