Jill Meagher’s Killer Adrian Bayley Appeals Two Rape Convictions & Non-Parole Period

Despite the fact that the judge said during Adrian Bayley‘s conviction that he would ‘likely die in prison’, Bayley has decided to appeal some of the charges.

His non-parole period was extended to 43 years, so he would be getting out of jail in 2058. His attack and murder of Jill Meagher occurred while he was on parole for previous sexual assault and rape charges.
He was convicted in May, on three separate counts of rape. He pleaded not guilty to all three, but is now appealing two of them, as well as his non-parole period.
