A Very Different Jeffrey Epstein Is Copping A Tsunami Of Wild Abuse On Twitter

A Disney publicist who shares a name with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein says he was hit with social media abuse over the weekend after the latter’s death in a New York City prison cell.

Jeffrey R Epstein – who we are going to refer to as ‘R’ for the remainder of this article – took to Twitter this morning to share a selection of comments hurled his way after the other Jeffrey Epstein reportedly committed suicide while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

Epstein, who served only 13 months behind bars in 2008 after pleading guilty to underage prostitution charges, was slated to face court after fresh allegations he trafficked dozens of underage girls.

The 66-year-old had also been accused of facilitating the sexual abuse of minors by elite politicians and businessmen.

The verbal abuse directed at R does not appear to be a new phenomenon. The Hollywood Reporter states R has copped it online for weeks, prompting high-profile mates like Community star Yvette Nicole Brown and comedian Kathy Griffin to voice their support last month.

Celebrities are not the only people to have voiced their support for R. He said US sports broadcaster Gerry Sandusky reached out, presumably after he was mistaken online for convicted rapist Jerry Sandusky.

R has also received support on Twitter from folks like Brett Kavanagh, who is not to be mistaken for accused sex offender and new US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and some guy who just happens to be named Michael Bolton.

R’s ordeal comes after numerous instances of Australians mistaking Americans named Peter Dutton for our current Home Affairs minister.
