A police manhunt for two people is underway after a man was found shot dead in a Sydney street this afternoon.
NSW Police were called to the intersection of Hereford and Minogue crescents in Forest Lodge around 12:40.
Authorities discovered the man, thought to be in his 20s, deceased in the street.
The Herald Sun reports the man was shot in the head in a suspected execution-style killing.
It is understood authorities have recovered a weapon at the scene.
Police are currently searching for a man and a woman who they believe fled the scene after the shooting.
No description of the two suspects has been released.
Leichhardt Police Area Command is seeking information from anyone who may have information relating to the shooting, and have urged any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
