Three People Shot In Copenhagen Synagogue Attack, City On Alert

Hours after an attack left one man dead at a pro-freedom of speech event in Copehnagen, there has been a second attack, at the city’s main synagogue, in which three people have been shot.
ABC News report that two officers were shot in the arm and leg during the attack, and a third person was shot in the head. The gunman has fled the scene on foot.
A large manhunt is currently in progress in Copenhagen. Citizens have been urged to remain indoors in the central part of the city, and a major train station has been evacuated, with trains not stopping there.
The fact that the shooting occurred late at night has led to additional problems. “Police are struggling with many drunk people in the area, which is close to many Copenhagen pubs and nightclubs,” the Berlingske newspaper reports.
The earlier attack today, at an event called ‘Art, Blasphemy And Freedom Of Expression’, left one 40-year-old man dead. Controversial artist Lars Vilks, who has been threatened in the past over cartoons of Muhammad, was present, but unhurt.
The search for both suspects is still underway.

UPDATE, 4:17PM: Copenhagen police have announced they have shot dead one person at a train station close to where the first two attacks took place. The police who were previously shot are reportedly receiving treatment and are not at risk of losing their lives, according to Danish authorities.
