Donald Trump Experiencing Huge, Luxurious, Really Terrific Slide In Polls

Look, there have been a lot of false victories claimed in the United States election. It emerged that Hillary Clinton‘s campaign had a helluva lot more cash in the bank than Donald Trump‘s. The Republican Party is shedding top members who can’t stand behind Trump. But ultimately they are hollow victories – if anything, the Brexit vote shows that disgruntled voters can be very powerful.

But there’s absolutely no doubt that Trump is in some trouble. Two new polls are out, and they show Hillary leading by 5 and 12 points respectively. The Washington Post/ABC News and Wall Street Journal/NBC News polls paint a pretty bleak picture, considering they both had Trump ahead at some point.
Obviously, Trump’s campaign prefers the smaller lead shown by the WSJ poll.

The Washington Post/ABC News poll surveyed 1,001 adults between June 20-23 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. The Wall Street Journal/NBC poll surveyed 1,000 registered voters between June 19-23 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
It’s not like Americans are suddenly waking up to Trump being a bit of a loon. Thoguh both polls show huge disapproval for his comments about minorities, and he still only really wins among white voters, there’s been a lot of discontent around the massive bungling of the Cory Lewandowski affair – the firing his campaign manager.
One thing is clear: Trump is actually pretty shithouse at campaigning. Clinton is no Obama, but she’s miles ahead on that front – Trump can make good tweets, and his loud, braggadocio scores him serious points, but when it comes to actual on-the-ground and digital campaigning, he’s not particularly great.
We’ll see how this goes in… November. Fuckin’ November. Are you serious? Australia can’t even handle a campaign that’s longer than two weeks.
