The Whole Of Melbourne’s Chadstone Shopping Centre Has Been Listed As A COVID-19 Exposure Site

Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne’s East is among the hundreds of locations that have been added to the list of potential COVID-19 exposure sites across Victoria.

People who visited Chadstone Shopping Centre between 11.30am-2pm on Wednesday need to get tested immediately and isolate until a negative test is returned.

Ramen restaurant Yokozuna located on the ground floor of Chadstone is listed as Tier 1, which means that anyone who visited the restaurant between 11:30am -12:00pm on May 26 will need to get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days.

Some of the other listed COVID exposure sites, include LaTrobe University, the Peninsula Hot Springs and a number of stores and restaurants across Wollert, Epping, Reservoir, Craigieburn and Dandenong.

The Victorian Department of Health has highlighted the following Tier 1 exposure sites:

Wollert: Hamara Bazaar (May 18 between 10:30am and 11:30am); Erol’s Fruit Shop  (May 18 between 11:25am and 12:10pm)
Epping: Khalsa Sweets and Snacks (May 18 between 12:20pm and 1:10pm); Indiagate Spices and Groceries (May 19 between 9:45am and 10:30am); Epping Spices and Nuts Grocery Store (May 22, 24, 25 and 26 between 9am and 9pm)

Dandenong: Marmara Halal Meats (May 19 between 11:35am and 12:25pm); Bestway Supermarket (May 19 between 12:15pm and 13:15pm); Bestway Supermarket (May 19 between 1pm and 1:40pm); Spice Inn Groceries (May 19 between 1pm and 1:40pm)

Carrum Downs: Sabrini Foods (May 19 between 2pm and 6pm)
Mill Park: Star Car Wash 1 (May 22, 23, 25 and 26 between 8am and 5:30pm)
Craigieburn: Dosa Hut (May 25 between 5:45pm and 7:15pm)
Reservoir: Vic Fields in Summerhill Shopping Centre (May 18 between 4:20pm and 5:30pm); Healthy India (May 27 between 9:30am and 2pm)
This comes after Victoria recorded an additional five COVID cases, bringing the total active cases to 49. In the past 24 hours, 17,702 vaccine doses were administered and 45,301 test results were received.
