Former NRL player Chad Robinson’s family have issued a statement confirming his death.
In a post on the Let’s find Chad Facebook page, family announced a body discovered in a car earlier today is that of the 36-year-old.
Earlier, police revealed a body had been discovered in the north-west Sydney suburb of Kenthurst.
Authorities say there are currently no suspicious circumstances surrounding Robinson’s death.
Robinson, who played for the Parramatta Eels and the Sydney Roosters, had been missing since late last month.
Cronulla Sharks captain Paul Gallen, who participated in the #LetsFindChad social media campaign, has also released a brief message:
Our thoughts are with Robinson’s friends and family.
