Brother Of Accused Bourke St Killer Posts Heartfelt Message To Melb On FB

The brother of Dimitrious “Jimmy” Gargasoulas, who stands accused of killing five people when he allegedly drove his vehicle through lunchtime crowds on Bourke St in Melbourne, has spoken out for the first time from his hospital bed, telling the city to “stay strong”.

Angelo Gargasoulas is currently staying at The Alfred hospital after his brother allegedly stabbed him on the morning of the Bourke St attack on January 20th.
Taking to Facebook on Sunday night, Gargasoulas offered his sympathies to those still in hospital and expressed that “no one could’ve predicted” what his brother is alleged to have done:
To all the families of the victims involved in last Fridays tragedy, my heart goes out to you and for all those still fighting in hospital, my thoughts are with you and your recovery.

No one could’ve predicted what Jimmy did or that he’d do that, that morning. I’m fortunate enough to still have my life and the support I have received is unheard of!!! I thank everyone involved in making this an easier time for everyone else involved, and my family.

As for me, I still got some recovery time to do, and it’s all looking good…

Still in disbelief, the realism of it all has yet to fully sink in, stay strong Melbourne!

Dimitrious Gargasoulas is accused of five counts of murder.
