Australia’s belligerent dickheads were out in force last night. A mad, 200-strong brawl rolled through Sydney, and it was accompanied by a wild (but unrelated) gang bust-up in the heart of Melbourne.
The clash between two gangs in the Victorian capital tore through the city’s Federation Square precinct, and police temporarily shut down sections of the CBD in order to calm everything the fuck down.
Of course, because we’re obviously dealing with the nation’s best and brightest here, a possible gang affiliate has apparently tried instigating a follow-up clash of the Apex and Islander 23 groups via Facebook:
“Honest to god this to all the “boys” that consider me a bro, if you not having my back in the city tonight against Apex y’all can fuck off cos from then on ima look at you as a sister, pussy ass ni**as.”
The Herald Sun reports that was followed up with “7-8 at Flinders”, a straight-up reference to the exact same place last night’s brawl happened. Again, the nation’s brains trust is obviously hard at work here.
Victoria Police have issued a statement on the incidents, saying they’re currently scouring stacks of CCTV footage in order to nail some more perps down.
The Herald Sun also report police presence in the area will be heightened tonight, on top of the increased numbers offered to handle the city’s Moomba Festival.
