Cancer scammer and Australian conwoman Belle Gibson has had her home raided (for a second time) as authorities look for the sweet dollarydoos that she has owed them since 2017.

Belle Gibson, household name, was ordered to pay up $410,000 by the Federal Court in 2017 after being found guilty for misleading and deceptive conduct. In case you don’t know the story, she scammed the entire nation with her cookbook and app The Whole Pantry, which she claimed helped cure her terminal brain cancer.

She was also claiming that a mix of wellness practices and healthy lifestyle choices could cure ailments within the body. But hey, she wasn’t just lying about that, but was also spitting misleading facts about her age and her charity donations. Not a very fun person.

Now, in 2021, she has accumulated a heaping $500,000 of completely unpaid fines, and the authorities have had enough. On Friday, Gibson’s Northcote home was raided under “search and sale” orders from the Victoria Sheriff’s Office, in an attempt to recoup some of the costs.

This is the second time that Gibson’s house has been raided, the first being in January 2020.

“Ms Gibson owes the Victorian public a substantial debt and Consumer Affairs Victoria will continue to pursue repayment,” said a spokesperson for Consumer Affairs Victoria.

“A warrant of seizure and sale on Ms Gibson was executed today by Sheriff’s Officers at an address in Northcote.”

Back in 2019, cancer scammer extraordinaire Belle Gibson was brought before the Federal Court, where she was asked why the hell she hadn’t paid a single cent of her fines from 2017.

Gibson responded that she was allegedly facing difficulties with money, as she was a single mother who was raising her son alone. She also told the court that she was considering filing for bankruptcy.

However, the court ended up finding a series of mystery deposits into Gibson’s bank account, as well as a bunch of payments for luxury items, and a trip to Africa with her son that cost over $5,000.

It has not yet been confirmed whether or not any items from Gibson’s house were seized and sold in this morning’s raid.
